What to expect in sessions

A free fifteen minute initial consultation is recommended before making the decision to enter into counselling. At Rejoyfullife we believe that you need to find the person you gel with and feel safe talking to. You are under no obligation to continue after your initial conversation as it is far more important that you find the counsellor you feel you can connect with and trust.
If you choose to move into counselling with Rejoyfullife, the first session will focus on unpacking the reasons you have sought counselling, as well as a holistic, 360 degree wellbeing check - physical, emotional, social, spiritual - to discover the best place to start to help you move into your brighter future.
A values check list will be explored for homework to help you learn about your personal path that you would ideally like to be walking on.
Following sessions will look at devising a mind map to help you articulate the obstacles that are blocking your way from walking on your path. You choose which blockages you would like to focus on, and strategies and solutions are collaboratively devised to help you deal with those blockages. Sometimes these obstacles require expert assistance to help shift, and if such a case arises you may be offered a referral to someone who can assist you in targeting that area.
All sessions are led by you as you are the expert in your own life. We will create a flexible counselling plan to help you achieve your goals and apply a variety of evidence based counselling and psychological modalities to assist in the process, while all the time reflecting on your personal strengths as we encourage the building of your confidence to walk with hope into your future .
